Butterfly Canvas using Elizabeth Park Collection by LYB

Happy Thursday! Emily here with my latest creation for HappyNScrappin' using the Little Yellow Bicycle Elizabeth Park Collection. Being a HUGE butterfly gal, this is a perfect collection for me! It has everything I love all in one... my favorite colors, butterflies and flowers.

I cut out the butterflies from the Flutter By paper in the collection for this piece. I first stamped on the canvas using black ink. Gesso mixed with some Making Memories silver paint was brused over this. The paint was heavily watered down. This allows the stamping to show through just enough. After the paint had dried, I used some of my Shimmerz to spritz all over the canvas for some color. If you look at the background behind the butterflies on teh Flutter By paper, you can see that I am mimicking the colors that are on the original paper.

When the spritz had dried I placed the butterflies in rows on the canvas using Mod Podge. I sealed them using Mod Podge as well. After they were sealed, I used my I-Rock tool to add three crystals down the center of each one. I then used some of the Making Memories glitter glaze to add some glitz to them.

Some sparkling ribbon was added to the bottom. I pleated it then added a plastic beaded chain and the Maya Road flower. Some of the Making Memories glitter glaze was added to the flower as well. The bright blue ribbon pulls out the blue in some of the butterflies.

Thank you so much for joining me for my project this week! I have listed all of the products below that I used to create this. Click on the link and it will take you to the product in the store.

Egg Hunt Layout using MM's Flower Patch

Good Morning! I hope you are all doing well this Thursday morning! The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day out here in Missouri. We have had some gorgeous weather the past week.

While enjoying the weather, I remembered that Easter was coming up. I have been working with the Flower Patch Collection from Making Memories, and it is PERFECT for Easter and Spring layouts.  You can find the collection in the HappyNScrappin' store

I love the photos I took a couple of years ago at my parent's farm of my kids finding eggs in the yard. They all turned out really well, and look great with these papers.

I had the doily in my stash, as well as the flowers that I used in this layout. I used an edge punch to give a lacy look to the flowered paper.

Below I have some closeups for you...

Those butterflies are rub ons. Aren't they cute? You can see the punched edge here better, as well as the distressing that I did to the edges of the layout with my Imaginisce D-Stress tool which you can find in the HappyNScrappin' store

Below are the products from the store that I used... all you have to do is click on the link below each image to  take you to it in the Store.

Spring Decor using Flower Patch

Hi! It's Emily here, a day late with my post for HappyNScrappin'.   I went to post this yesterday, and realized that I had not taken the photos of the project! So very sorry! I had to take them today since I worked yesterday, and that's why I'm getting this to you today! Had to wait for that good light to photograph in.  This week I worked with the "Flower Patch" Collection from Making Memories. this is a great collection to use for Spring and Easter layouts.

I created this wall decor for Springtime.

I took an old frame that I purchased at Goodwill and first primed it with white Gesso. Afterwards I misted it with green mist. Once the mist had dried, I created a banner out of twine and some of the Flower Patch paper and rub ons. I used some of the paper on the bottom of the frame as well.

I created the blue polka dot flower out of more Flower Patch paper and used a part of a dimensional sticker from the collection as a center for it. The glass was taken out of the frame, and I covered the backing to the frame with some more patterned paper and added various flowers, felt embellishments and stickers to it. Wire was used to pop some of the elements up. I love how it turned out!

Below are the products from the HappyNScrappin' store that I used to create this... click on the link below each item to take you to it!
