She Finds Beauty in Everything - Canvas using Glitz Designs

Hi, and happy Friday! Emily here with my share for the week using products that you can find in the HappyNScrappin' store! My post is a day late because I had to wait for the paint on the project to dry! It took a bit longer than I had anticipated.

This week I created a canvas using products from two Glitz Design collections, the Love Games Collection and the Hoopla Collection.

These two collections are great! I love the colors and how well they go with one another. The greens, blacks, blues and teals.... so pretty!
My inspiration for the canvas came from Christy Tomlinson's "She Art Workshop". It is some of the prettiest artwork I have seen!

I used the Love Games collection for the top and dress of my girl, as well as the words on the canvas. The Hoopla collection was used for the tree. I added some buttons to each of the circles as an afterthought. Prima flowers were used in the girls hair, below the tree, and in her hands.

More close ups of the canvas are below....

The canvas in full again....

MM Vintage Findings Pop-Up Card

Today I have a simple card using
Cricut Everyday Pop-Up Cards
Using MM Vintage Findings that you
can find at Happy N Scrappin'

Since my PP was white inside for card base, I decided to cut again with brown cardstock.
I stitched around the first layer or PP.
I have had this Eiffel Tower reminding me that this is were I will travel next.
Next time I will cut the Pop-Up part in different colors and layer.
I previously posted this Layout using MM Vintage Findings that is so appropriate for traveling themes.

It's Earth Day, It's My Birthday! Blog Hop!

Welcome to Gaby's celebration!

Hopefully you just arrived from Madison's Blog
If not, please start with Gaby

In celebration of birthdays - I thought I would post about my son, Daniel.  For the last two years he has been serving a mission for our church in Jacksonville, Florida!  His two years was up last Tuesday, and I had the opportunity to fly over and spend the week with him, visiting some of the old areas he had served!  My favorite part was meeting some awesome people that have fed him, driven him, helped him, and loved him while he was away from home.  The following layouts are from his Mission Album, they aren't anything special as far as scrappin technique, but this layout was his 21st birthday.  I remember being really sad the week of his birthday because he had just been transferred to a new area and I was worried nobody would know it was his birthday and he would have nothing special happen that day.

Come to find out the following Monday, on email day, he sent the awesome pictures I used in the layout of the awesome Lear Family!  They were celebrating two birthdays in their family, and added Daniel to their family party!  I seriously sat and cried as I looked throught the pictures, knowing he was well taken care of, and got to party it up to celebrate his 21st birthday!!
The first three pictures on page one, left side is the family all singing "Happy Birthday!"
The side side is the low country boil they had for dinner, a southern favorite!
On page two, he is showing all the birthday letters and cards he receiving in the mail, matching t-shirts he made for himself and his best friend Lacey, and a blanket my friend Terri made and sent him (it has gators all over it!)

My birthday is Sunday, the first time ever to be on Easter!!  (that I can remember anyways!).  It's going to be one special day as Daniel is speaking in church, our home will be filled with friends for the weekend, and we end on Sunday night with an open house for everyone to come see him for the first time in 2 years!!

Happy blog hopping!  And Happy Birthday Gaby
