BasicGrey Kissing Booth Wreath
Loving this wreath created by BasicGrey designer Amy Friend
You can find all the BasicGrey Kissing Booth Supplies at the Happy N' Scrappin Store
(Click on the picture and it will take you to the store)
ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES wreath form, ribbon, straight pins.
Amy used a 12″ Styrofoam wreath form and wrapped it in pale pink grosgrain ribbon. There is no need to glue. She just used two straight pins to hold the ribbon on the back and then wrapped and secured it with more pins on the back when Amy came to the end of the spool. She used the beautiful Kissing Booth double sided card stock to make flowers for the wreath.
Each flower is made up of hearts cut in three sizes. The inner most ring consists of 4 small hearts, followed by a ring of 5 medium sided hearts and then 5 large hearts. After cutting the hearts, she poked a small hole in each with the point of my seam ripper. She then assembled the flower with a brad at the center, followed by a die cut shape, and then by the “petals.” She folded over the edges of the petals to shape the flower. Amy also varied the sizes of the flowers by not including the outermost ring on two of them to form medium sized flowers. The smallest flower is simply made of a ring of small hearts.
Happy wreath making !!!

Valentine's Day project with MME's "State of the Heart"
Hi! Let me first start by introducing myself! I'm Emily, but you can call me Em if you'd like and I am so thrilled to be your hostess on Thursdays with creations made from items you can find in the HappyNScrappin' store!!
A quick bit about me... I've been scrappin' since the beginning of 2009 and am obsessed! I LIVE to create, as so many of us do! I am mom to two awesome kids, who you will probably see in some of my layouts. I mainly create layouts, but also do decorative items, canvases, altered items, mini's, and some cards on occasion! When not blogging here for HappyNScrappin' you can find me at my personal blog, Through Emily's Eyes.
Now, time to share.....
I was thrilled when I found out I got to work with My Mind's Eye (MME) State of the Heart collection this week. Seriously, it is perfect for Valentines day layouts, cards, gifts, decorations, etc that you may need to make. I decided since I don't really have many Valentines Day decorations around that I would create a banner for our house. The collection worked perfect for it! Below is how it turned out.
Banner in full.

I also took some close up shots of a few of my favorite flags on the banner so you can see how I did them.
I hope you liked this. It was really easy to do. I prefer, when creating banners, to give them some strength behind the patterned paper or cardstock, so my secret is to cut cardboard triangles for the flags, and THEN adhere the PP over them and decorate. It creates a longer lasting, tougher banner.
Here are the products that I used from the Store to create the banner:

Thank you so much for sharing this project with you and having me here! I can't wait to share what I have for you next Thursday!! I will also be having a giveaway!
See you next Thursday!!
